Why Choose Us?

More Experience, More Space, More for Dogs
Choosing care for your dog isn’t just about finding availability. It’s about trust, fit, and knowing how your dog will actually spend their time while you’re away.
Dogs at Camp isn’t a traditional kennel. It’s a long-established, kennel-free environment where dogs spend their days outdoors, socializing with compatible dogs, resting when they need to, and being supervised by experienced staff who know them well.
We’ve been doing this since 2002, and over the years we’ve learned something important. Camp can be an incredible experience for the right dogs. It isn’t the right solution for every dog. And being clear about that is part of how we care properly.
That clarity is what makes camp work so well for the dogs who belong here.

Is This the Right Fit for Every Dog?
Not every dog enjoys the same kind of environment, and that’s okay.
Dogs at Camp works best for dogs who are comfortable around other dogs, enjoy human interaction, and do well in a structured group setting. Camp life includes movement, social time, and shared spaces, balanced with rest and quiet time throughout the day.
Some dogs prefer very limited interaction or become anxious in group environments. In those cases, a more traditional, private boarding setup may be a better fit. We’re always honest about this, because the goal is a good experience for your dog, not just a booking.
That’s why we encourage tours. Meeting the staff, seeing the space, and talking through your dog’s personality helps everyone decide if camp feels right.

The Original Country Camp for Dogs
When you do something great, others follow. Over the years, many have tried to copy what we do. That keeps us on our toes and focused on doing it better every day.
Dogs at Camp wasn’t designed to look good on a website. It was built to work well for dogs.

Trained, Experienced, On-Site Staff
All camp staff are trained in dog care and Pet First Aid, and follow clear daily procedures that support safety, cleanliness, and consistency. Supervision is active and ongoing, with staff focused on understanding each dog’s behaviour, comfort level, and needs throughout the day.

Safety, Structure, and Daily Supervision
A camp for dogs is not just about buildings and property. What happens behind the scenes matters just as much.
Our routines, staffing levels, and supervision practices are designed to keep dogs safe, engaged, and relaxed throughout the day.
For dogs who come regularly or just for the day, our kennel free daycare offers the same level of supervision and care.

A Different Approach Than Traditional Kennels
Traditional kennels often rely on individual runs, scheduled rotations, and long periods of downtime. For some dogs, that environment can feel isolating or stressful, especially over multiple nights.
At Dogs at Camp, dogs live their days much more like they would at home. They move through the property with familiar dogs and staff, spend time outdoors, rest when they need to, and sleep in cozy shared spaces rather than enclosed runs.
This approach isn’t about higher energy or nonstop play. It’s about balance. Activity, rest, social time, and calm structure all working together. For many dogs, that difference is immediately noticeable.
What Dog Owners Tell Us After Camp

See Camp for Yourself
We believe transparency matters. That’s why we invite families to schedule a tour, meet the team, and see exactly how camp works.
The best way to understand camp is to see it in person. You’re always welcome to schedule a tour and ask questions.
We look forward to meeting you and your dog.
