What’s a dog vacation?

Next time you’re away…give your dog a vacation too!

Dogs come to camp for all kinds of reasons.  Many dogs come because their owners are traveling, whether it’s a business or a pleasure trip.  Some dogs come to camp when there are renovations going on at home, or when their owners are moving from one house to another.  Sometimes dogs come to camp when there’s an illness in the family, and it can be easier for all that their dog gets to enjoy camp time.

Some dogs come to camp when they’re celebrating a birthday, and sometimes dogs come to camp for no reason at all…just because their owners would like to give them a fun vacation with other happy dogs!

At camp dogs spend their days playing in large open spaces with other dog pals.  They also have the chance to go hiking, swimming (in the Summertime!), spend one-on-one time with a Camp Counsellor, play with puzzles, and more!

As you can see, Dogs at Camp is very different to a traditional dog boarding kennel.

New!

We have just added FIVE beautiful camp cabins, which are also heated, air conditioned, monitored (audio / video), and very cushy!

Here at camp, we have a beautiful new, very roomy country barn, with lots of indoor play space, and big cushy rooms for nighttime comfy sleeping.  The indoor playroom leads out to a huge fenced (two acre!) outdoor park. The building is fully climate controlled with central air conditioning, radiant in-floor heating, an air filtration and circulation system, a closed circuit audio and video monitoring system, and filtered drinking water. Our Camp Counselors get to know every dog’s name, personality, and special needs, and each and every dog is given personal affection and attention.  Also, the owner of the camp lives on the property, and the property is never left unattended.

Some of our campers sleep in crates or kennels at home, and they often prefer that we continue that routine here at camp.  Otherwise, most dogs are used to sleeping on their beds (or their owner’s beds!), and those dogs bunk in a room here, together with a small group of their friends. They all get comfy pet pillows and blankets. Yes, dog camp life is good!

Overnight campers can come for just a night, a weekend, or for weeks at a time!
