Senior Dogs at Camp
Do Senior Dogs Come to Camp Too? Yes, we cater to dogs in their ‘twilight years’.
We know that senior dogs need quiet time, cuddle time, and less activity. Our camp counsellors make every effort to ensure that the seniors get extra attention, and that they go on more leisurely (sometimes shorter) walks on our trails.
We also have a separate, smaller play-park which staff can use to separate the pack, if they feel it’s needed.
Senior dogs still enjoy fresh air, the company of staff, and some even like to watch the other dogs play!
Having said all of that, senior dogs do need to be healthy and mobile enough for our camp environment. If you’re unsure whether or not your dog is suitable for camp, please give us a call to discuss, prior to your tour.
Speak to us about your senior dog, and we’ll design a camp experience best suited to his or her needs.
