While you are away
From the first morning to bedtime
Camp gives your dog a daily routine, with company and activity balanced by food and rest. Our team supervises the dogs in indoor and outdoor spaces and gets to know how each dog enjoys spending their time.
Arrive and settle
Daytime arrival gives a new overnight camper time to meet the group and become familiar with the surroundings before bedtime. Tell the team how your dog usually settles in somewhere new.
Play, eat and rest
Dogs spend time in fenced play areas and indoor spaces. Meals are served separately, followed by rest. The day changes with the weather and the dogs’ preferences.
Sleep indoors
Dogs settle in indoor rooms and sleeping areas. Our barn and cabins have heating and air conditioning, and management is in the building overnight.

Prepare before leaving Whitby
A little preparation makes the handover easier. Arrange a tour with your dog before the first stay so you can see the environment and discuss whether social camp is a suitable fit.
- Discuss their experience. Tell us about previous boarding, comfort around other dogs and any care needs. Ask whether a day visit before the overnight stay would help.
- Keep familiar meals. Pack your dog’s usual food, along with supplements and medication. Share feeding instructions ahead of time.

Work arrival and pick-up into your travel plans
All visits take place at our Uxbridge camp. Check directions from your part of Whitby and allow time to reach camp within the window you have chosen.
Before booking, consider both ends of your trip. An early departure may mean bringing your dog the day before; a late return may affect which pick-up window works. Contact us ahead of time if your plans need an adjustment.
Build the stay around what your dog enjoys
Trail walks and seasonal swimming opportunities, individual time with a camp counsellor, puzzle sessions and video updates are optional extras. Choose the activities that suit your dog and check their current prices before booking.

Our camp is in Uxbridge. We welcome dogs from Whitby, Brooklin and other Durham Region communities. Tours, drop-off and pick-up all take place at our Uxbridge camp.
Can my dog try a day before staying overnight?
A day visit can help a dog get to know the people and routine. Tell us about your dog’s experience so we can discuss an appropriate introduction before a longer stay.
What if my dog is used to sleeping in a crate?
Tell us about your dog’s usual sleeping arrangement when discussing their stay. Crates are available for dogs who feel comfortable resting that way.
Should I pack different food for boarding?
Bring the food your dog normally eats so their stay does not introduce an unnecessary diet change. Follow your booking’s packing guide and provide clear feeding and medication instructions.
