On-Site Walking Trails

On our 100 acre property, we have beautiful hiking trails (used all year round) and a spring-fed swimming pond (weather dependent, of course). Come up for a visit with your dog and enjoy our trails! Our staff take just a few dogs at a time for a hike, which gives them a chance to get some more one-on-one attention. Plus, don’t we all like a change of scenery sometimes? If your dog is not a swimmer, a hike through the trails will do just fine!

NEW: We now use GPS tracking devices for dogs hiking off leash through our trails. This is just in case your dog happens to wander off, so that we can easily and safely get him or her back quickly.

Video Updates

Think you might miss your dog while he or she is at camp?

We’ll keep in touch while you’re away (if you’d like to hear from us), by sending you two videos of your dog each day by email. Whether it’s cuddle time with staff, hiking through trails, meal time, or just plain old ‘having fun at camp’ time, we’ll get some video of your dog twice each day, and send it right to your phone!

Social Media Updates

Stay up to date with your dog’s camp fun!

If you’d like to watch your dog’s progress and camp fun, sign up for social media updates. We’ll post photos or video of your dog doing all the fun things dogs do at Dogs at Camp!

One-on-One Camp Counsellor Time

Couldn’t we all use some alone time sometimes?

While camp is lots of fun, it can also be busy. Some dogs enjoy one on one time, away from the group, to play ball, go for a walk, or just sit and snuggle in a private room. If you feel your dog would benefit from some time alone with a Camp Counsellor – simply select this when you book online. We will schedule 1 hour alone with the Counsellor, for as many days as you choose.

At the end of your dog’s stay (or during, if you’d like to check in), we’ll let you know which Camp Counsellor spent alone time with your dog, when, and what they did!

Quiet Toy Time with Friends

Time to relax with buddies.

While camp is lots of fun, it can also be busy. Some dogs enjoy some relaxing time away from the larger group, to play ball, go for a walk, or just sit and snuggle in a private room with a Camp Counsellor and a very small group of their buddies. If you feel your dog would benefit from this calmer and quieter time, simply select this when you book online. We will schedule 1 hour with up to two other fun camp buddies, for as many sessions as you choose.

At the end of your dog’s stay (or during, if you’d like to check in), we’ll let you know which Camp Counsellor spent that quiet small group time with your dog, with which other dogs, when, and what they did!

Puzzle Time!

Some dogs enjoy time alone, away from the group – to work on camp puzzles! Puzzles include yummy treats, but it takes some work and time to get to them. Puzzles are fun for dogs, and help keep their minds sharp.

Bathing

At camp dogs tend to get…dusty! If you’d prefer that Fido comes home smelling and looking his best, be sure to sign him up for a bath.

Bathing includes a shampoo, blow dry, brushing out of matted fur, and ear cleaning (yes, both!).

Care and Comfort

Some dogs benefit from a little extra hands on care during their stay, focused on comfort, cleanliness, and feeling good.

With Nail Trim – Includes:

  • Nail trim
