Overnight & Day Camp I Dogs at Camp Ottawa

Kennel-Free Boarding

We are not your typical boarding kennel.  We don’t even like the word “kennel”.  We prefer Camp!

At DAC,  you’ll find a beautiful country barn with lots of space for indoor play, and comfy sleeping areas.  We have Kuranda dog beds for day-time naps as well. The building is fully climate controlled with central air conditioning, heating, an air filtration and circulation system, and filtered drinking water. The indoor playroom leads out to a huge 2-acre fenced outdoor park.

Every camper will enjoy our new Recreation Program! Every week we have activities that will engage our campers both physically and mentally… fun!

Our Camp Counselors get to know every dog’s name, personality, and special needs, and each and every dog is given personal affection and attention. Every dog becomes someone’s favourite camper!

Some of our clients’ dogs sleep in crates or kennels at home, and they often prefer that we continue that routine here at camp.  Otherwise, most dogs are used to sleeping on their beds (or their owner’s beds!), and those dogs bunk in a room here, together with a small group of their friends. We determine sleeping arrangements by personality, age and size. They all get comfy blankets on a bed of wood shavings. Yes, dog camp life is good!

Overnight campers come just for a night, a weekend, or for weeks at a time. We are open all year round!

We invite you to come up for a tour, with your dog of course.  See for yourself what camp is like, meet our staff, and ask them all of the questions you may have.
